Dirt is Good wins gold at Global Good Awards

Global Action Plan and Unilever were awarded gold in the Educational Excellence category of the Global Good Awards for the Dirt is Good Schools Programme.
The Global Good Awards recognise businesses, NGOs, charities and social enterprises around the world that champion sustainability and ethical leadership.
The Educational Excellence category is open to education programmes and activities that aim to expand learning, enhancing access to information and providing unique academic experiences to all age groups.
The award, announced in July 2023, was jointly won by Delve Exchange, a global peer to peer learning network which aims to improve sustainability outcomes of the small-scale mining sector.
We're delighted, and to be sharing first place with another fantastic project is very in tune with the values that underpin the Dirt Is Good Project. Dirt Is Good's success is down to the hard work and commitment of all the partners involved. We thank and share this award with Unilever, Edelman, Future Foundations, JUMP Foundation, Kyklos, and the many thousands of teachers, staff, mentors, and young people who are bringing the project to life around the world.

Global Action Plan has worked in partnership with Unilever on the Dirt is Good Schools Programme since February 2021.
The partnership began by publishing ground-breaking research that explored how to unleash the potential of young people to take positive action and create a better world for all. Insights from this research have been used to inform a programme of work that is currently being delivered in schools in the UK, Chile and Thailand.
The programme empowers young people to take action on the social and environmental issues they care about.
