Providing resources and support, enabling hospitals, schools, and local authorities to use air pollution data to take action for clean air and bringing live local air quality information to London residents

Clean air is crucial for good health. Air pollution is largely invisible, cutting Londoners’ lives short through serious health conditions like lung and heart disease, dementia, and strokes.

Breathe London will help make air quality visible, giving data directly to schools, hospitals and communities and helping them take action and call for clean air, focusing on the places where people most need it.

Take Action

Breathe London plays a crucial role in helping local communities, schools, hospitals and Londoners understand air pollution and take action to reduce their exposure.

Get involved

Breathe London measures air quality across the city, making air quality data available to the public, and engaging with hospitals, schools and communities to champion air pollution action.

The programme is brought together by a consortium of partners, bringing leading air quality technology, data and engagement expertise. Global Action Plan is leading on the engagement with sensor holders, helping people make the most of the information generated by local sensors, and developing the Breathe London website to make the information accessible and engaging.
