Catherine Kenyon

Head of Programmes, Clean Air

Catherine is a proactive and passionate sustainability leader with over 16 years' experience delivering large-scale complex projects in sustainability and development charities. Catherine oversees Global Action Plan's clean air programmes with health and education sectors, local authorities, and community groups. Her achievements at Global Action Plan include launching the UK's first Air Pollution Calculator, leading the delivery of the Clean Air Hospital and ISC framework across the UK, and management of Global Aciton Plan's 2021 Clean Air Day campaign.

Prior to joining Global Action Plan, Cat worked at ActionAid International, where she led the Transforming Surge Capacity Project in the charity's humanitarian team, securing £2.4 million from the Department for International Development to implement the project. Achievements include establishing a project consortium of 12 humanitarian agencies, training and recruiting 600 individuals, and launching over 30 learning products .

Catherine is Vice-Chair of London Living Streets; she established and chaired the Haringey Living Streets branch over 2018-2022, she is a founding member of Labour Walks & Cycles and was commended in the category of Campaigner of the Year by the London Cycling Campaign in 2021. She has a BA in Modern History from the University of Nottingham and is currently studying a part-time masters in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge.
