WELLBEING & CONSUMERISM

Global Action Plan aims to address the damage caused by consumerism - it's good for our wellbeing and good for the planet too.

Young people are overwhelmed by pressures to consume, and this excessive consumption is not making them happy. In fact, the opposite is happening: consumerism is contributing to a mental health epidemic.

Consumerism is also fuelling an unsustainable use of resources - which in turn is helping drive climate change, mass extinction and pollution.

Global Action Plan is working with young people to challenge the pressure to consume, highlight examples of lower impact lifestyles, and set their own vision for what a happier, more sustainable future might look like.
