The challenge

Water Explorers aged 8-14 from 11 countries have taken bold and powerful action to save our precious water. Free and fully resourced, the Water Explorer programme empowers future generations through fun, interactive water-saving Missions displayed through an online platform. As Water Explorer students grow into global citizens and ambassadors for positive change.

We are now calling on fresh Water Explorers from around the world to continue the challenge and fill our future with water for all. Hear directly from Water Explorers themselves and discover what water-saving activities they’ve been up to in this video.

Hear first-hand how one of our 2016 finalist schools found the programme:

So far 46,000 Water Explorers have made a real splash and saved an astounding 5 million m3 of water, 13 million kg of CO2 and held 150 Water Festivals world-wide. Behind these numbers are many stories of Water Explorers taking action. For example, the CEIP Mata Linares team from Spain approached the local authority and successfully managed to get a new waste oil container added to the recycling facilities and our Wyebank Water Warriors from South Africa were awarded the internationally acclaimed WAF Youth Award. These are just two examples of the hundreds of Water Explorer teams that are using creative ideas to take action, reduce their water footprint and empower others to do the same.
