There are significant impacts from air pollution on physical health, both in children and in
adults. Of note a number of the health effects in adults are actually the end result of
exposure at a young age. Therefore, reducing air pollution exposure for children would
have a likely improvement in the health of those individuals as adults. This review looks
at the physical health effects on children and reviews the current literature
surrounding the possible improvements that can be made through reductions in air
pollution exposure through interventions.
