Over 5 years, our H₂O Heroes partnership with Thames Water gave students in London the skills and support they needed to design their own behaviour change campaign to get their fellow students and local community taking action to save water at school and in their local communities.

We ran workshops with students to get them thinking about how sustainable our water supply is, and encouraged them to talk to their peers, teachers and family members about this issue. This helps students spot the ways that people waste water, such as showering for longer than five minutes.

Using this knowledge, they put together an action plan to tackle water wasting behaviours in their school, and engage people from the school community along the way. Over the years we've seen many incredible, creative initiatives from whole school water days, to computer games, to pledge displays, and even rainwater collection competitions.

Telferscot Primary School from South London were awarded the winners of our water-saving programme H₂O Heroes in April 2019. As part of their prize they got to make their very own film, where they brought Planet Earth III to life.
