Operation TLC goes global Operation TLC programme resources will be made available to Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) members in a unique collaboration that sees our award-winning programme offered on an international scale for the first time. Since launching in 2013, Operation TLC has been adopted by a number of NHS Trusts, delivering cost savings of £580,000, improved patient experience with 1/3 of patients reporting fewer sleep disruptions and carbon savings of 2600t/CO2. The successful impact of the programme makes it a natural fit for GGHH who works to support the 21,700 hospitals and health centres in its network to foster a healthy and sustainable future. The Operation TLC resources make a fantastic addition to the GGHH suite of tools available to members. Health care facilities large and small, urban and rural, on every continent can achieve financial savings, reduce their environmental footprint, and catalyse their staff as sustainability champions with the TLC strategy. - Nick Thorp, GGHH Global Community ManageR The Operation TLC team will be co-hosting a webinar with GGHH and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust tomorrow (Wed 22 Feb) at 9am and 5pm. Attendees will hear about the opportunities for greater energy efficiency in hospitals, gain insights into Blackpool’s direct experience of implementing Operation TLC and the benefits they have seen and learn how to run Operation TLC in hospitals using the materials.
