Clean Air Night 2024 - Insights and celebration
With the support of many organisations, local authorities, experts and campaigners, we sparked the first national conversation about the harms of wood burning in January 2024.
The first Clean Air Night shined a light on the uncomfortable truth about wood burning – that it harms your health, wallet and the planet – and encouraged the public to learn the facts and share them with their friends, family and communities.
Here’s some highlights from the first Clean Air Night campaign:
-
Over 100,000 views of the Clean Air Hub during the campaign period, sharing the facts about wood burning with the public.
-
67 local authorities engaged with Clean Air Night on social media – over a fifth of all English local authorities!
-
25% of people who had heard of the campaign said they would burn less, 24% said they would stop burning, and 21% said they would not buy a stove.
