Applications are now closed for our Youth Panel. Watch this space to find out more about what they're doing to help us create a more sustainable future.

What does the Youth Panel do?

The Youth Panel represents people across the country on important environmental and social issues, and will help shape GAP's new mission to tackle our throwaway culture and demand more action and progress towards a truly circular economy.

What you get from joining the Youth Panel

  • Great experience for your CV to help make your academic and job applications stand out
  • A chance to meet other like-minded young people to create and lead campaigns that achieve real change for good
  • The opportunity to develop your negotiation, leadership and campaigning skills
  • A platform to get your voice heard on important environmental and social matters and help shape the future direction of Global Action Plan
  • Opportunities to flex your public speaking skills by giving presentations and talks, and get access to sustainability professionals
  • Insights about the sustainability sector and the chance to find out about future career opportunities

What the Youth Panel needs from you:

  • Your commitment to attending Youth Panel meetings once every few months
  • Your motivation to engage with and question the practices of businesses, and campaign for change where needed
  • Your voice as a representative of young people across the country on key sustainability issues
  • Your support to shout about the Youth Panel on your social channels and discuss with your friends and family
  • Your ideas and passion for sustainability, working with Global Action Plan's staff and board members to shape the future direction of the organisation and deliver against our mission to tackle excessive material consumption.

If you think you fit the bill and would like to be a part of Global Action Plan's inaugural Youth Panel then keep an eye out for when we next recruit young people.
