Laura Brown

Community Engagement Lead

Working to educate and mobilise the healthcare sector for action on air pollution

Laura is a qualified secondary geography teacher, mountain leader, and sustainability advocate with a background in biology. She has worked across schools, environmental projects, and the events industry - from teaching climate and wellbeing in classrooms, to leading Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, to consulting on sustainable procurement alongside NGOs and UN agencies. Whatever the setting, she's passionate about helping people connect with the world around them.

As Community Engagement Lead for Good Life Schools, she helps schools deliver inclusive, youth-led climate and wellbeing projects, working with educators and partners to ensure young people — especially those underrepresented in climate spaces — have the tools and support to take meaningful action in their communities.

Passionate about accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces, Laura is a member of the British Mountaineering Councils EDI committee, a film reviewer, and presenter for Kendal Mountain Festival. In her spare time she enjoys climbing, surfing, running and generally spending time adventuring outdoors!
