Kristina Johansen

Senior Creative Manager

Since joining Global Action Plan in 2020, Kristina has worked on a broad range of programmes; from our Flickers of the Future programme helping young creatives to depict a sustainable future through art and film, to programmes helping young people campaign against our “buy now get next day” culture. As Creative Project Manager, Kristina oversees end to end creative processes, such as the development of films or events, often in collaboration with external partners. She brings together her experience of both the environmental sector and the creative arts sector to evaluate complex problems, identify creative outcomes and collaborate with creative partners to bring ideas to life. Kristina has also co-designed and co-delivered a variety of national education programmes, on the topics of consumerism and wellbeing.

Kristina’s background is in interaction design arts, specifically using art as a tool to reveal environmental and social injustices and to engage people in issues around sustainability. Kristina created the interactive experience exhibited at the London Science Museum, 'If It's Not Grown It's Mined', which explores the impact of resource extraction on the natural world and local communities, through the lens of excessive consumption.
