Leading education programmes that inspire compassionate action
Claire is a GTCS-qualified teacher and team leader, passionate about the transformative power of education to shape a more just and compassionate world. Since joining Global Action Plan in 2022, Claire has managed a diverse portfolio of education projects and programmes, including the global delivery of the double-award winning Persil Dirt Is Good Project.
She currently leads Global Action Plan’s Good Life Schools programme, working with local authorities, schools and community groups across the UK to address the impacts of excessive consumption.
Claire has 10 years’ experience working in the education sector, having started her career as a Primary Teacher in Scotland. As an infant teacher, she led on developing whole-school nurture policies, training and interventions to support pupil wellbeing and emotional growth. Claire has since worked with international NGOs and small charities, championing wellbeing, positive relationships and global learning in education.
Claire has an MA(Hons) in International Relations and Primary Education, and an MA in Education and International Development from the UCL Institute of Education.

We all have the ability to create positive change in the world. I love that Global Action Plan is supporting young people to realise how powerful they are.
