Senior Communication Campaigns Manager

Delivering strategic communications and PR campaigns that unlock systems change

As Senior Communication Campaigns Manager, Chloe works closely with all our delivery teams to design impactful marketing and PR campaigns and advise on communications strategy. She is responsible for the organisation’s brand and tone of voice, press office and external communications function. She sits on the charity’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) panel and is part of the safeguarding working group. She is passionate about turning complex issues into accessible and innovative content that motivates audiences to act on the systems that harm people and planet, as well as amplifying the voices of those most affected by environmental issues.

Chloe joined Global Action Plan in 2023, bringing a range of experience in environmental journalism, charity communications, campaigning and social psychology. She has previously coordinated multi-channel communications campaigns at global animal protection charity Animal Equality, reported for and edited several sector-leading environmental and social issue specialist news publications - including Air Quality News, NewStart Magazine and Environment Journal - as Head of Content at Spacehouse Ltd, and conducted experimental social psychology research into why people support charities.

Chloe holds a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Bath and an MA with distinction in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University, during which she was recognised by the Professional Publishers Association 30 Under 30. She holds specialist certificates from leading universities and professional bodies in inclusive leadership, project and people management, climate change communication and behaviour change science. In her free time, she writes poetry and creates colourful knitwear.

I firmly believe that we cannot tackle the climate crisis without first recognising that it is not just an environmental crisis, but a social one.

It's really empowering to work within a team that embeds the intersection between environmental and social issues in everything it does.
