Naheeda Howard Working with the one of the UK’s largest retailers, Naheeda specialises in helping businesses to adopt a culture of sustainability. Naheeda is committed to solving pressing social issues, and has spent the last ten years working on climate change mitigation, public health, corporate responsibility and diversity spanning the public, private and third sectors. One of Naheeda’s proudest moments was when, as Corporate Responsibility Manager for Argos, she achieved the feat of getting Corporate Responsibility (the interlacing of social and environmental accountability into the fabric of business) included in the Argos Retail Plan for the first time ever. With a background in Economics, Naheeda also has a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London’s Development Planning Unit. She serves as a Non-Executive Director to The ReUse Centre, a charitable enterprise serving its local community through upcycling and skills-sharing. Global Action Plan’s mission takes a look at the value experiences - rather than things - can bring. What does Naheeda like doing in her free time? Naheeda likes things out of her comfort zone: whether it’s acting, dancing or petting scary creatures. What inspires Naheeda about Global Action Plan’s mission? Tackling an increasingly throwaway culture is truly beneficial for everyone, everywhere.
