Martyn works across Global Action Plan's retail and air quality programmes, ensuring everyone involved is kept informed, happy and delivering fantastic impact on the ground. He believes that the world will be a richer place when the environment is at the heart of corporate and government decisions.

After completing a Geography degree at the University of Reading, Martyn worked for Change Agents UK and as a coordinator for the Traidhos Three-Generation Barge Programme in Thailand. This time was spent encouraging students to experience and learn from Thailand’s natural ecosystems first-hand, and served to strengthen Martyn’s passion for the outdoors.

Global Action Plan's mission takes a look at the value experiences, rather than things, can bring. What does Martyn like doing in his free time?

Martyn is likely to be found exploring the wilderness. This year, he has set himself the challenge of visiting each of the UK’s 15 National Parks.

What inspires Martyn about Global Action Plan’s mission?

“That’s easy!” he says. Promoting experiences that replace the time spent obsessing over unimportant, little things. The feeling Martyn gets from exploring the peaks of the Brecon Beacons with friends just cannot be beaten by shopping or the latest instalment of a TV series.
