Global Action Plan UK (GAP) was set up in 1993 on the belief that people can act on environmental issues right now. This is as true now as it was back then. GAP focuses on people, inspiring them to take practical steps to reduce the impact from their homes, schools and workplaces.

At GAP everyone comments on the quality of our team – could you be the next to join us? We're always interested to hear from innovative and environmentally-focused individuals who are passionate about creating more sustainable lifestyles.

Our staff package includes a competitive salary, flexible working hours, generous annual leave, an ethical pension scheme, sociable colleagues and many other benefits.

Campaign Manager for National Clean Air Day

Are you an experienced Campaign Manager who's passionate about inspiring social and environmental change? If so, then get in touch!

On 15 June this year, Global Action Plan will be coordinating the first ever National Clean Air Day (NCAD). Events, displays and action across seven major cities will feed into a national media campaign backed by over 50 health institutions and universities. With concern about air pollution rising rapidly up the agenda, NCAD will play a hugely important role in raising awareness and inspiring citizen action to tackle air pollution.

With air pollution contributing to 40,000 premature deaths a year and causing stunted lung development in children, everyone can take action; NCAD will provide no-nonsense guidance on how.

We are looking for a driven Campaign Manager who can get our crucial health messages out to millions of people through a targeted media campaign. You will oversee our existing team of experienced professionals who are managing events, film production, volunteer activation and impact evaluation, all coming together to deliver an exciting and meaningful day of action. A day of action that will have an immediate impact on the lungs and lives of our booming urban populations.

Contact for more details on this exciting role. NB you must be able to start in March 2017 and we need you five days a week until at least the end of June (the odd holiday is of course encouraged during this time, but if you’re planning a 6-week island-hopping trip in Micronesia, that’s not really going to work for this short campaign). Salary £40k to £45k p.a.
