As a little girl, Clair received a Blue Peter badge for writing in to the show with a question about recycling. The environment has always been close to Clair’s heart.

With a background in engineering, energy modelling and renewable energy, Clair works across most of Global Action Plan’s programmes, supporting in programme design, measurement and analysis, technical development and process improvement. She’s a detailed thinker and problem solver.

Clair is a chartered environmentalist and Global Action Plan's in-house environmental manager, maintaining our environmental management system, overseeing a 43% reduction in our own carbon emissions over the past 5 years and making sure that we continue to practice what we preach.

GAP’s mission takes a look at the value experiences, rather than things, can bring. What does Clair like doing in her free time?

Clair enjoys the community spirit that her hometown of Hastings has to offer, from Pirate parties and May Day celebrations, to concerts on the Pier.

What inspires Clair about GAP’s mission?

Valuing the time and effort that go into producing the items that we buy and the corresponding environmental impact from the materials we use and waste.
