The combination of rising energy costs and carbon legislation is pushing energy management further up the corporate agenda.

Energy management is essential for most UK businesses and they are always looking new cost-effective measures to improve energy efficiency.

The UK Government has opened a consultation that aims to boost investment in energy efficiency by streamlining carbon reporting and tax requirements for businesses. The Treasury suggests replacing the carbon reduction commitment (CRC) and the Climate Change Levy (CCL) with a new energy consumption tax, based on the CCL.

Taking place on April 20th in Birmingham, the edie Energy Management Forum 2016 will again explore and showcase innovative ways to reduce energy consumption, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
