The Champions of the Earth is the United Nations’ flagship environmental award.

The search continues for the 2011 Champions of the Earth who have shown determination, resourcefulness and enduring commitment towards a greener, cleaner and more prosperous future.
Nominations will be accepted until 31 October. Nominate your Champion now.
Each laureate will receive a $40,000 cash prize and a commemorative trophy at a high-level, widely publicized Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner to be held on 28 April 2011.
It seeks to recognise some of the best and brightest individuals – those who take action through visionary thinking, unwavering dedication and action towards global green growth.
The UN Environment Programme will select a laureate for each of the following categories:
- Policy Leadership
- Science & Innovation
- Entrepreneurial Vision
- Inspiration & Action
