There has been a lot of talk from government and green groups alike about the need for individual action to tackle climate change and help the environment.

From flying less and recycling more, we know that we need to change behaviour. But moving people to act is a difficult thing. Unleashing the Power is a new publication that talks about the role of communities in tackling climate change. It also includes a piece by Trewin Restorick, CEO of Global Action Plan, on why the charity has been successfully leading on behavioural change for many years.

What does success look like?

EcoTeams is a tried and tested community engagement programme that brings communities together to reduce their carbon footprint. With proven, and independently verified savings, EcoTeamers save the planet and their household bills.

EverGreen is an extended EcoTeam project within housing associations. The project was initially set up in response to requests from resident board members who wanted, through a range of stimulating sociable activities, to be able to contribute positively towards the environment.
