Plugin is a project that's saving water and energy in the Midlands through installing water saving equipment and providing water and energy saving advice.

Retrofitting homes

Thousands of residents across the Midlands are taking part in this project and we are working with the Environment Agency, Severn Trent Water, South Staffs Water and five housing providers across the Midlands to deliver it.

Severn Trent Water and South Staffs Water are providing free water-saving products, which the housing providers are installing in people’s homes. We're providing the advice and running a prize draw to encourage residents to think about other actions they can take following the installations. Every few months a resident will win a goody bag with £50 of energy saving products for taking part in the project.

Community message

We are also training staff and residents to use EcoTeams games and activities with community groups in the area to spread the message further.

To date we've trained over 60 residents and staff with more training lined up for the future.
