Over 844 primary schools have signed up to the new Appetite for Action website to take part in the biggest online food challenge of 2009.

The challenge is unique, built around an interactive platform that brings to life the process of going green, for teachers and students. Registered schools create a profile page which involves monitoring and inputting key data such lunchbox audits, reviews of canteen waste and composting plans.

The Appetite for Actionwebsite is chock full of useful and engaging resources, from lesson plans and fact sheets through to a series of bespoke videos that bring alive the challenges and solutions for the kids featuring Professor Planet.
