The Office for Civil Society in the Cabinet Office has provided part funding for Global Action Plan to deliver part of its flagship National Citizens Service programme. Summer Step will see young people aged 16-17 take on outdoor challenges, community learning, personal and social development and completing their own environmental project in their community.
CAF Venturesome provides core support to Global Action Plan through a quasi equity investment. With one successful investment programme between Global Action Plan and CAF Venturesome completed in 2011, a second investment has been made in partnership with the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to enable our charity to develop partnerships and secure programmes.
Camelot is the sole corporate supporter of Global Action Plan’s Summer Step programme. The financial and in-kind support enables Global Action Plan to run a personal development programme for 16 and 17 year olds as part of the National Citizen Service. Over the summer of 2012, young people will work in groups on community projects and understand more about the world of work through corporate mentors – all while learning how to help society become more sustainable.
The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is a long-term supporter of Global Action Plan's work, and has provided funding and finance for many years. The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is currently supporting us through a quasi-equity investment, enabling Global Action Plan to invest in developing innovative, effective programmes and creating partnerships with organisations and businesses who want to work with Global Action Plan to achieve progress towards sustainability.
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is focused on reducing economic disparities within and between EU member states by supporting economic regeneration and safeguarding jobs.
The ERDF part-finances Global Action Plan's Environmental Savings through ICT programme, providing free support to London SMEs to cut carbon, cut costs and improve the efficiency of their business processes using Green ICT tools. The ERDF also part-financed Global Action Plan's Smartworks 2 programme which helped 375 London SMEs save over 1500 Tonnes CO2 and 6,00m3 water.
Greater London Authority have administered ERDF grants to Global Action Plan for over five years, enabling the provision of free support to SMEs across the whole of London. Our current ERDF grant enables us to give free support to SMEs to help them run sustainable businesses through Green ICT.
MH-Carbon is an industry leader in sourcing and trading voluntary carbon credits to help companies and individuals to purchase and hold credits to offset their CO2 emissions and mitigate the harmful efects of climate change.
MH-Carbon has chosen Global Action Plan as their charity partner and will be supporting our environmental projects through regular donations, kickstarting with our youth programme.
Riso Printing UK is a manufacturer and distributor of digital print solutions and a pioneer of environmentally friendly inkjet printing technology.
As part their commitment to reducing environmental impact, Riso UK have made a donation towards Global Action Plan’s youth programme. Riso are also providing Global Action Plan with the opportunity to join them at the upcoming Business Green Leaders Awards.
The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts is the operating office of 18 grant-making trusts established by three generations of the Sainsbury family. The trusts' donations to charitable causes over several decades represent one of the leading examples of sustained philanthropy in Britain.

Since 2010, Textlocal have been supporting our youth and community programmes with their text messaging service. Textlocal's SMSservice is especially valuable our work with 16-25 year olds, where we use it to get messages out to our 4,500 volunteers instantly, sharing events, opportunities and environmental information at the drop of a hat.
