My role at Global Action Plan involves inspiring and supporting volunteers to cut carbon. I organise monthly meetings with the Greenprint 2020 Steering Group and regular workshops to develop the skills of volunteers. I also work on the “Greenprint 2020 – the Climate Squad vision”, a project capturing 4,000 young people's vision for 2020 so we can create a positive vision for people to aspire to.
What were you doing before Global Action Plan?
I studied BSc Physical Geography at Sheffield University and spent the summer of my graduation volunteering for Global Action Plan on a Climate Squad internship. I then went travelling around India for a month before starting my first full time job in October 2009.
What do you love about Global Action Plan?
The staff and the atmosphere – I never imagined a full-time workplace could be so fun, creative, dynamic, happy, friendly, warm and welcoming.

Have swishes with your friends. They are great for swapping your unwanted things for something you want!
What do you do on a Sunday morning?
I love a Sunday morning run or a swim or a wander around Greenwich market. If I am not doing this I'll be having a lazy lie in …
