We were set up in the UK by Trewin Restorick in 1993. He wanted to run a charity that could bring about actual and collaborative change. One that helped everyone know what to do, how to do it and what a difference they were really making.

So, here we are. And we feel like celebrating:

Why are we celebrating?

• Once there were 2 of us in the team, now there are over 50 (and, yep, Trewin is still one of us).
• Over 21,000 people have signed up to join an EcoTeam in the past few months alone.
• Our new Climate Squad project has already reached over 1,000 young people.
• Our work with businesses has saved nearly £3m and 7 million tonnes of carbon.
• We run the only projects in the UK that are endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme.
• Nearly 1,600 schools have joined our Appetite for Action school programme.
