Global Action Plan shortlisted to win a Charity Times Award
We have been shortlisted in the Charity Times Awards, which recognise and reward excellence in the charity sector.
Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the Year
This award recognises the active involvement of a commercial company directly with a socially responsible project which has had a clear connection and benefit on a charity or the charitable sector over the last year.
Environmental Champions in Schools
We worked with E.ON to create the opportunity for employee volunteers to help local schools improve energy efficiency in three countries: Hungary, Spain and Italy. Volunteers trained hundreds of students, staff and community members to save energy and also to convince others in the community to be energy-efficient.
We are incredibly proud of our programme's success in achieving behaviour changes that have a positive impact on the environment, and that it has been recognised by the Charity Times Awards. Trewin Restorick, CEO, Global Action Plan.
The winners will be announced on 12 October 2011 at the Awards Gala Dinner.
