Students at Holy Cross School get stuck into Action on Waste

It has been a very busy year for the Global Action Plan Schools Team and the results are in from all of our programmes:

During the past year we have delivered workshops to over 1,700 students!

Saving water

60 schools had a Water Makeover and, through changes in water wasting behaviour, they’ll save over 18 million litres of water over the next 12 months!

Saving energy

Coppice Primary School reduced their overnight electricity use by a whopping 38% with the Action on Energy Redbridge project!

Saving waste

If this year’s Action on Waste Schools keep up the good work they will save around 85 tonnes of rubbish each school year!

Saving the rainforest

677 schools have taken action to help save the rainforest through the Sky Rainforest Rescue Schools Challenge.

Thinking about food

Garnetbank Primary School won the Appetite for Action competition with their school garden, plant sale and even made bread from school grown wheat!

Impressive stuff! Thank you to all the schools we’ve worked with for making this an A* year.
