We're the official partner of UK AWARE: the UK's leading green lifestyle exhibition
UK AWARE
Environmental charity Global Action Plan has been announced as the official partner of UK AWARE, the UK’s leading green lifestyle exhibition, taking place in Olympia on 16 and 17 April.
The perfect partnership
Both Global Action Plan and UK AWARE are committed to helping people, communities and businesses cut their carbon emissions through taking realistic action in their everyday lives, by making more positive sustainable choices and changing behaviour, making this the perfect partnership.
Tickets can be purchased at a reduced rate of £6 if purchased through Global Action Plan.
Jump on our energy bike...
Global Action Plan will play an active role in the event. We will be running workshops to show how you can reduce your carbon emissions and cut your bills at home, at work or at school. We will have our ecointeractive exhibits there so you can jump on the energy bike to try and power household items or test how eco-friendly your driving is with our EcoDriving simulator or we’ll be on hand just for an informal chat.
Event details
UK AWARE will host over 200 exhibitors with hundreds of products and services to help cut carbon emissions and save money. As well as these the event will include over 50 world-class speakers, Green Machines Expo, the UK’s largest swishing party, activities for the kids, interesting debates, green businesses, and those with a creative flair can find out how to turn a pair of old curtains into a funky shopping bag in ‘make do and mend’ workshops.
The UK AWARE event will be a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people, with 15,000 visitors expected, this is positive proof that we can make a difference if we act now to reduce our impact on the environment. The event is especially timely given recent negative media coverage of climate change and the weak outcome from Copenhagen.
“UK AWARE is very proud to have partnered with Global Action Plan for 2010. This partnership connects Global Action Plan's focus on people and how they can take action in their everyday lives with the products and solutions which UK AWARE offers. Global Action Plan is the perfect charity partner for UK AWARE and by working together we are able to support, inspire and offer practical solutions.”
Danny Carnegie, UK Aware founder
“Global Action Plan fully supports UK AWARE because it actively shows people that a more sustainable lifestyle can be fun - it isn't about giving things up, it is about living differently. The exhibition practically demonstrates that we can lead high quality lifestyles and still hit challenging carbon reduction targets.”
Trewin Restorick, Global Action Plan CEO
