Global Action Plan's EcoTeams programme is highly effective at reducing household environmental impact, as summarised in ‘An Introduction to EcoTeams' (6 pages) which can be downloaded here. Global Action Plan have recently conducted a full evaluation the programme, and the ‘EcoTeams Evaluation Report' (39 pages) is available here.

In addition, researchers from University of East Anglia (UEA) have conducted a two-year research project focussing on the EcoTeams programme as an example of a team-based action project. Their research sought to better understand the mechanisms which foster long-term behaviour change with regards to waste and recycling activities.
