Case study: Weavers Court, Whitburn

Whitburn Garden

Nine volunteers from Livingston's Retention Team, headed up by Customer Experience Manager Tommy Davidson, visited Hanover Scotland's sheltered housing development, Weavers Court, in Whitburn on Wednesday 16 July 2009 to support residents on their EverGreen journey.

Volunteers worked together to create raised beds out of locally sourced and recycled materials and even tried their hand at willow weaving.

When asked about the day Tommy Davidson said " It was an absolute pleasure; the team enjoyed themselves and would love to do it again in the future. "

I'd like to say thanks for the team’s hard work. They were a great bunch and all seemed to get on well together. Margaret Currie, sheltered housing manager

A number of volunteers will return to support residents to pick plants for the beds and help plant them out.
