Accenture and Global Action Plan to help young people gain green skills
Young people at a Greenprint 2020 training day
Global Action Plan and Accenture aim to equip 1,300 young people with green skills needed for employment.
Global Action Plan, Accenture and the Accenture UK Foundation are announcing a two-year collaboration to offer green skills development and practical training to 1,300 young people in the UK to help build their employability skills.
Support and training
Global Action Plan and Accenture will collaborate to give young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or those not currently in employment, education or training (NEETs), opportunities to build their skills. They will have access to mentoring, peer-to-peer networks and counselling, and volunteers from Accenture will support them through their training.
"Our Skills to Succeed focus equips people with the skills they need to get jobs, build businesses and contribute to their communities. Working with Global Action Plan enables us to combine our passion for helping to create growth and employment with our passion for sustainability." Oliver Benzecry, Managing Director of Accenture UK and Ireland.
Greenprint 2020
We asked 1,400 young people to tell us what they want from a sustainable Britain. We are helping them make that a reality with Greenprint 2020. Find out more.
