Global Action Plan UK (GAP) was set up in 1993 on the belief that people can act on environmental issues right now. This is as true in 2016 as it was back then. GAP focuses on people, inspiring them to take practical steps to reduce the impact from their homes, schools and workplaces. Funded by pioneering businesses and charitable trusts, GAP designs programmes and campaigns that encourage a shift in behaviour – behaviour that benefits not just the planet but also business and society.
At GAP everyone comments on the quality of our team – could you be the next to join us? Our staff package includes a competitive salary, flexible working hours, generous annual leave, an ethical pension scheme, sociable colleagues and many other benefits. Jobs with us can be found below and on environmentjob.co.uk and charityjob.co.uk boundaries with the materials that they produce and craft compelling stories about the impact they have made.
WANT TO WORK FOR US?
Global Action Plan equips and inspires people to take practical actions that will make a positive environmental impact. As the UK’s leading environmental behaviour change charity, we work with pioneering businesses, schools, local government and the NHS to design and deliver programmes that help people live more sustainable, healthier lives.
We put people at the heart of everything we do – our workplace as well as our programmes. We were delighted to be the second happiest workplace ever surveyed, in a recent 'Happy People' benchmarking exercise.
We are always interested to hear from experienced individuals who are passionate about creating more sustainable lifestyles.
Are you looking for an opportunity to create large-scale, lasting change in a business environment? Do you want to combine the best of working in the corporate and charitable worlds?
Global Action Plan, the UK’s leading environmental change charity, has an exciting opportunity to embed a senior change expert into the UK’s leading supermarkets. We have a permanent role available for a brilliant individual to lead best-in-class environmental behaviour change programmes. You would have the potential to save thousands of tonnes of carbon and transform the way that some of the UK’s leading retailers, and largest single energy consumers, manage energy.
You have a proven track record of leading change within a large organisation, working in a fast paced business environment and getting senior stakeholders to support your projects. A specialism in social marketing, internal communications, behaviour change theory and / or sustainability will help you go even further in the role.
Application deadline is 9am on Thursday 28 July.
